The von Roll University Center’s institute building was ordered by the Canton of Bern’s Office for Land and Buildings. The large building appears almost delicate and light from the outside. It blends harmoniously into the typical juxtaposition of buildings from different eras and takes on the scale of the former industrial site. The heart of the institute building is the library. It extends from the 2nd basement to the first floor.
