Arena Plaza Shopping Mall, Budapest

Arena Plaza Shopping Mall is one of the largest shopping and entertainment centers in Budapest with a size of 200’000m2.

Project
Rytz AG realized 3 cable-stayed and inclined glazed skylights in an elliptical ground plan. The skylights each have a dimension of 18×24 meters with cylindrical side wall as sound absorbing surface and integrated smoke and heat exhaust.

The interior cladding of the skylights is made of aluminum lamellas in a sinusoidal wave-cut shape.
