Complete renovation of Schorenweg 20/22 & 30/32 in Basel
Schorenweg 20/22 & 30/32 are located in one of Basel’s most popular districts, Hirzbrunnen, directly on the city’s green belt.
Each building consists of 2 basement floors, a first floor and 16 upper floors. There is a shared parking garage between the buildings.
The conversion project comprises a total of 196 rental apartments. The exterior areas will be adapted to the new conditions and upgraded in terms of design as part of the overall refurbishment.
This project focuses on the remediation of harmful substances, seismic retrofitting, structural upgrading of the balconies, energy-efficient refurbishment of the façade, fire protection upgrades, adjustments to the floor plan and the renewal of the surfaces. The work will be carried out in stages.
The balconies will be structurally strengthened using special steel slats and then extended. In addition, all balconies will be fitted with new railings.
Project
On behalf of Implenia Schweiz AG, Rytz AG is carrying out the structural strengthening of the balconies and the construction of the balcony railings. The contract includes engineering, planning, production and assembly.
