School building Aarberg – skylight

Finally it starts!
After several years of planning and preparation, the construction work for the new school building for three kindergarten classes, five classrooms 1st and 2nd grade as well as the day school started.

For improved daylight penetration, a skylight strip will be installed in the roof and additionally equipped with roof flap wings, which will be driven by an electric motor. The skylight strip will be constructed as a post-and-beam structure.

SageGlass® Climatop Classic is being installed in the Aarberg school building.

SageGlass is a manufacturer of intelligent, dynamic glass. SageGlass® changes the way people experience being in buildings: As so-called electrochromic glass, SageGlass® can be electronically darkened or lightened completely silently – as needed either automatically or manually at the touch of a button or touchscreen.
SageGlass® can also individually regulate up to three different tinting zones within a window, thus guaranteeing glare protection and daylight penetration in the same glass.

A good supply of daylight is particularly important in schools. A school with a targeted supply of daylight in all common areas can positively influence the motivation of its students. If they feel comfortable in their learning environment, they can learn much better and more easily.
